Joe’s Shanghai – Chinatown, NYC

Chinatown (NYC) Restaurant

The first Joe’s Shanghai was founded in Flushing, New York in 1995. Immediately our two special soup dumplings, crab pork meat became a New York favorite.

Other special dishes includes Shredded Turnip Shortcake; Twin Prawns in Chili Sauce; Crispy Whole Yellow Fish; Lion’s Head (Stewed Pork Balls), Braised Duck, Braised Pork Shoulders and not to mention our different varieties of cold cuts like Wine Chicken; Shanghai Fried Bean Curd.

Over the years, we have been named as Best Restaurant and awarded recognition by New York Times Restaurant Guide; Gourmet Magazine; Travel and Leisure; New York Magazine and Zagat Survey. We have been featured in many gourmet magazines in Japan as well as on the Japanese Fuji TV show.

Today, thanks to our popularity we have three stores located in New York – Chinatown, Midtwon Manhattan and Flushing, Queens. We also have opened our first international store in Tokyo, Japan too.

Like many New Yorkers, celebrities and tourist from all over — be sure to visit any of our locations and enjoy the famous Joe’s Shanghai Soup Dumplings!
